February 3, 2011. I just read ten more pages in Invisible Man and it was a pretty intense ten pages. The author was invited to a party and had to take part in a battle royal but before that there was a lady dancing around the room, I didn't really understand the significance of that. Then the battle royal began and the author thought he was being ganged up on because he was blindfolded and was getting beat up pretty bad at the beginning. After a while the author and only one other competitor were left in the ring to see who would be the winner of the battle royal.
January 24, 2011. The author I have selected is Ralph Ellison. The book I am reading is Invisible Man and I have read twenty pages in this book. The book begins with the author talking about himself being invisible. He said he is not a scary person or a movie star, he is just a regular person but other people don't see that he is human because he is an African American. The book talked also talked about how he accidently bumped into a man and the man called him a bad name. Mr. Ellison then began to beat up the man because he took offense to the name he had been called. The main character in this story is the author, Ralph Ellison.
